Winter program registration will be open soon to players born in 2003 through 2007 who are interested in participating in Boys or Girls CYSA teams that would be entered in the Massachusetts Futsal travel league.
For those not familiar with Futsal, it is indoor soccer played on a basketball court. The ball is a little smaller and a little heavier and promotes a fast paced, high scoring game that helps with soccer IQ, technical skills and conditioning. Practices will focus on technical skills, conditioning, strategy, scrimaging and having fun. The games are typically very competive and the league is mostly comprised of club teams.

The program will involve one practice weekly and a weekend away game.
The tentative practice schedule currently is:
- Mondays: Girls born 2006-2007 from 6-7pm, and 2003-2005 from 7-8pm
- Wednesdays: Boys born 2006-2007 from 6-7pm, and 2003-2005 from 7-8pm
All practices will be at the Harvard Kent Gym, followed by a weekend game at a local indoor facility most likely in Brookline or Newton.
Practices will likely start the week of Nov 6th. Official games would either be on Saturdays or Sundays, starting the weekend of Nov. 18 (although potentially with a friendly game the weekend before), and will run through the weekend of Jan. 20th, with no games the weekend of Nov 25th/26th, Dec 23rd/24th, or Jan 13th/14th.
Based on the number of registrants, an appropriate number of teams will be fielded, and the program cost determined and assessed (it will likely be around $100 or $125 per player). A minimum of 8 players is needed to enter a team in the program.
Once registration is opened, you will find individual programs by age and gender on the registration page accessed by the link below:
